Russell W. Galbut currently serves as the Managing Principal of Crescent Heights, one of America’s largest and most respected residential developers of quality residential apartments and condominiums, Chairman of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. and Chairman of Galbut Family Office LLC. Mr. Galbut and Crescent Heights have been active in the urban mixed-use real estate sector for over 30 years and are considered a “best in class” developer with a successful track record of new constructions and renovations. Crescent Heights has been active in over 15 markets from coast-to-coast and has developed over 50,000 residential units, including pioneering the condo hotel concept. Mr. Galbut served as a member of the Board of Directors of Prestige Cruises International, Inc. from September 2005 until Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.’s acquisition of Prestige in November 2014. As Chairman of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., Russell is extremely well-versed in the travel and cruise line industries. In addition, he is Chairman of Galbut Family Office LLC which is a private wealth management firm with a focus on Real Estate Development and Investment, Hospitality Operations, Private Financings of Real Estate and other Capital Market Securities. Galbut Family Office has partnered with other developers in South Florida residential projects such as Brickell Heights with Related Group and The Canopy Club with Terra Group.
Mr. Galbut also serves on numerous charitable boards including the board of trustees for the “Simon Wiesenthal Center” and the advisory board for the “Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.” He gave the founding gift for the Miami Beach JCC and has been a major supporter of numerous organizations in Miami Beach. Russell and the entire Galbut family believe in giving back to society and stand as pillars in the community.
Mr. Galbut graduated from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, became a Florida licensed CPA (currently inactive) and received his J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law.
